About

BondageOtter (Vince) is a kinbaku instructor, performer, and rope artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

"Bondage started as a social outlet. Tying knots was a seemingly-accessible way for me to join the leather and kink community while making new friends and playmates in a brand new city. However, the further invested I became, the more kinbaku became an outlet for my deeply sadistic desires and need for creative performance; Inflicting pain while creating beauty. Making shapes and inventing novel manipulations of the human body with rope is activity rooted in mutual trust and a desire to push the limits of both the top (rigger) and bottom (submissive). With such an intense level of practice, it's impossible to not develop deep, intimate connections with all parties involved. Telling stories through the changes of the ropes and developing erotic, but not necessarily sexual (though I do love the latter) is the core of who I am as rigger.

The main focus of my art + photography portfolio, currently, is tying non-monogamous couples, throuples, and other non-conventional relationship units in a way that expresses the unique characteristics of those relationship dynamics. Beyond the storytelling, I enjoy expanding the aesthetic of kinbaku through the binding of bears (husky, hairy men of all races, shapes, and sizes) while incorporating traditional Japanese elements like bamboo and kimono."
